The Peabody remains closed for major renovations, but its 26th Annual Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Legacy of Social and Environmental Justice marches on. Events on Thursday, Friday and earlier today lead to a virtual “Z Experience Poetry Jam” at 6 p.m. “Join influential poet-performers Croilot and Ngoma as they emcee an electrifying spoken word experience,” organizers say, including a curated open mic featuring local performers followed by “a slate of renowned, featured poets from all over the country, including Lorraine Currelley, Robert Gibbons, Bao Phi, and Ray Jane.” Register here.
