The light is right for Christmas in New Haven. Each night in Morris Cove, red and green lasers shoot past knee-high candy canes. Downtown, silvery-golden glassy orbs reflect actual gold and silver. In the Annex, psychedelic medleys of bulbs and maybe tinsel grace fences and doors.
