Escapade: An Unusual Experience, a dancing, singing (or at least lip syncing) drag show that gets its eighth local production—each one a different mix of performers, routines and visuals—tonight at Lyric Hall, encapsulates the qualities of this week’s wider PRIDE New Haven docket.
It’s fun, but it’s got attitude. It’s spectacle, but it’s got meaning. And it’s work, but it’s a labor of love, with a message of love for each other and oneself.
