Title: Staff Writer
Commitment: Part-time, approximately 8-15 hours/week, with growth potential for the right candidate.
Compensation: Salary plus approved expenses.
Responsibilities: Conceive, develop, write and photograph one or two high-quality feature stories per week, in concert with the editor.
The Ideal Candidate:
• is an exceptionally skilled writer, with a nose for rooting out interesting narratives;
• practices high journalistic ethics;
• balances a prodigious talent for the craft with a desire to keep growing;
• reliably hits deadlines;
• communicates efficiently and effectively behind the scenes;

• takes great photos; and
• resides in New Haven, CT, or very close by.
