Snow Peaks

Snow Peaks

The country’s first major snowstorm this winter was minor here. Less than an inch fell downtown, and, with ambient heat, busy traffic and more sidewalk salt than anyone can justify, it was too little to create that buttercream winter wonderland many of us crave.

Parking garage roofs don’t have those problems, though. Up there, the temperature is cold, the traffic is low and, as a result, nobody bothers to try to speed up the melt.

So, during the next winter storm, your untouched snow fix may just be an elevator ride away. And the surrounding views aren’t bad either.
