Sometimes the high road is best viewed from below.
Along Water Street, where the raised snaking ramps of I-91’s southern end meet I-95’s long elevated curve into the Q Bridge, there’s an epic display of color and metal and concrete and light, where ridged silver planes, warm grey edges and vivid red lines—glowing magenta where exposed to white-blue daylight—make gargantuan geometry against open sky, and where super-sized machinery sometimes rises into the frame, gleaming in mid-afternoon blaze.
Enjoy the view.
