Life in New Haven goes easier in summer. Not these New Haven summer riddles, though. Solving them will test your knowledge of the city, your knack for deciphering enigmatic phrasing and, probably, your Googling skills.
If you’re up for the challenge, a nice meal out could be your prize, at a time when there’s less competition for a res. Every solved riddle, submitted to this form by 6 p.m. next Wednesday, July 29, will earn you an entry into the prize drawing, where each of three randomly selected entrants will win a $50 gift card to a restaurant of their choice. The more correct answers you get, the better your odds of winning will be. But even if you get just one answer right, you’ll still be in the running. (In fact, even if you solve zero answers, you’ll still receive an entry, because we appreciate the effort.)
And if you don’t win, don’t despair. Seasons come and go, and there’ll be more riddles to solve—and prizes to win—in the future.

1. The world’s a stage, especially this park, where thou art called each summer to hark.

6. Wondering where on the coast to wade? This org tests water and issues a grade.
