Sunday night’s snowflakes stuck together. They piled and held hands like vast human pyramids, even along the tiniest tightropes.
It was a soft but substantial snow, the kind that binds, not just to itself. The New Haveners who went out to meet it also quietly met each other, feeling more connected.
And for someone who was yardbound to avoid getting sidewalk salt stuck in their dog’s paws, the connection visible in these photos was with nature herself.
