Monday, June 22
As beach season begins, RJ Julia in Madison holds a 6 p.m. meet-and-greet with bestselling “rom-com beach read”-writer Hannah Brown, who was also the star of season 15 of The Bachelorette.
Wednesday, June 24
At 5:30 p.m. under the auspices of MakeHaven, the principals of Sans Serif Recording lead a tour of their downtown music studio.
At 6:30, with BYO picnicking starting an hour before, the 2026 Twilight Concert Series opens at the Pardee-Morris House, this time featuring “big-band” cover band Java Groove.
Thursday, June 25
Free to attend each day through Sunday, the Saint Andrew Society’s 126th Annual Italian Festa begins at 5 p.m. today outside the organization’s Wooster Square headquarters. Live bands, Italian food and, at 6 today, an opening parade (not to be confused with the “old-world procession” scheduled for Sunday) are on the docket.
At 7, Westville Music Bowl hosts movie and TV soundtrack darlings Lord Huron, whose atmospheric songs, streamed billions of times, will likely ring a bell even if you’ve never heard of the band.
Also at 7, the Vernardo Circus, which “wraps world-class, animal-free circus acts into a Broadway musical-style format,” pitches its red-and-white-striped tent for a two-and-a-half-week run at Milford’s Connecticut Post Mall.
Friday, June 26
Bridgeport celebrates the coming Fourth of July in Seaside Park, promising food trucks starting at 6 p.m., live entertainment at 7 and a fireworks show at dusk.
At 6:30, a trivia night “test[s] your New Haven knowledge” in a place that can give you a lot of New Haven knowledge: Lost in New Haven.
A two-day Elvis impersonation contest begins at 7 at Pub 34 in West Haven, where “each contestant will sing up to three songs.”
At 7:30, famed SNL alum and film actor Rob Schneider comes to the Shubert Theatre for a night of standup comedy.
Saturday, June 27
NEBCo’s 24th Anniversary Luau Party spans two days and its two locations. The first day, from 11 a.m. to close today at the riverside Branford complex, features limited-edition beers, live music including steel drums, live mural painting, a local vendor market, a mechanical shark, performed and participatory hula dancing and, at 9 p.m., a view of the Branford Fourth of July Fireworks. Tomorrow’s half of the party, also starting at 11 a.m., happens at the brewery’s original Woodbridge location, featuring more special-release beers, live music, vendors and hula dancers, with a limbo contest too.
Starting at 2 p.m. (or 1 p.m. for VIP ticketholders), an ’80s theme party at Caius Farm Brewery in Branford features a DJ, dance floor and inflatable “backyard games” with prizes.
After “A New Haven Love Letter” from Anton Kot & Friends at 6, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra performs a concert of songs by “American Icons” at 7 on the Green. The show, an annual capstone of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, features Broadway veteran Capathia Jenkins and three-time Grammy nominee Ryan Jenkins, singing “songs by such iconic artists as Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Elvis Presley, Diana Ross [and] Stevie Wonder.”
At 7:30 at College Street Music Hall, another famous funnyman appears for a night of standup: Aziz Ansari, whose breakout role on Parks and Recreation had him playing the indolent bureaucrat-turned-diligent businessman Tom Haverford.
Sunday, June 28
From 2 to 9 p.m. back on the Green, the 2026 Caribbean Heritage Festival “celebrate[s] the tastes, sounds and culture of the Caribbean.”
