Party Time

T oday we’re busy like Santa’s elves, prepping for our Holiday Happy Hour tonight. But we’d like to take a moment to highlight a few new and important details:

• The fine bar staff at Old Heidelberg have several drink specials planned. Three of them are nice and warm: something we’re calling a ChaiChata, starring creamy Rumchata and a nicely balanced chai blend; a non-dairy variant with bourbon, oat milk and the same chai goodness; and a Spiked Hot Chocolate, the specifics of the spike left up to you. The final special goes cold and fruitier, with apple cider, apple brandy, more Rumchata and a dusting of nutmeg.

• With the late additions of gift cards from Ordinary and Claire’s Corner Copia, strong odds of winning one of dozens of door prizes have gotten even stronger.

• Speaking of prizes, we’re planning a kind of scavenger/trivia hunt. Find or figure out the answers by exploring Old Heidelberg, then enter to win a gift certificate or vouchers to the bar itself or Poindexter Coffee upstairs.

• Holiday music and visuals curated by Heidelberg staff will be radiating from the bar’s speakers and screens.

• Don’t forget: We’ve got free drink tickets for the first 50 guests—and, after a Post Road run last night, a few dozen first-come, first-served Santa hats.

• Finally, like those Santa hats, space is limited. Once the bar hits capacity, admission can’t be guaranteed.
