Swatching the Parade

As the city hibernates in response to the coronavirus pandemic, we’re reaching into our archives. On this year’s paradeless St. Patrick’s Day, please enjoy this procession of photos from 2018.

At Sunday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, both paraders and viewers vied for visual attention.

Sequins sparkled and plaids blazed. Buttons glistened and flags rippled. Ribbons flowed and velvets glowed. Off-white Aran sweaters snugged and bright green novelty hats flopped.

You could say it was a highly palette-able affair.
