The garden at the front of the Yale Farm is naturally inviting, which could help explain why the farm’s minders felt the need to hang a sign on the gate. “Until further notice, the Yale Farm is closed to the public,” it declares, while smaller letters elaborate: “This farm is actively serving emergency food needs in New Haven. Please help keep our staff safe by admiring the farm from outside the gates.”
