The Yale School of Management managed something really special with its new home. Finished in 2014, Edward P. Evans Hall—Evans Hall for short—encases 225,000 square feet of sustainability-minded offices, classrooms and open-to-the-public dining areas, plus a wavy-walled courtyard in the middle and a terrace out back.

Made of millions of pounds of concrete, metal and glass, it’s the glass that steals the show from the street. It gives the huge structure a counterintuitive lightness and airiness—especially when reflecting a dramatic morning sky.
